Not only can oatmeal be delicious, it also makes an ideal grain for infants with its beneficial nutritional content. The whole grain of oatmeal, combined with its high fiber and low fat make it a delicious breakfast menu item for your baby and the rest of the family, as well. Prepare oats for your baby according to your little one’s age and familiarity with solid foods. Babies should not eat solids before the age of 4 to 6 months, recommends the American Academy of Pediatrics HealthyChildren. At that point, you can start introducing them one food at a time. Most parents begin by introducing baby cereals, such as oats, that are fortified with iron and mixed with liquid — including breast milk, formula or water — to make them very watery. You shouldn’t give your baby regular oatmeal at this time because he may not get enough iron if he doesn’t consume cereals fortified with iron. Once babies are between 7 months and 12 months old, they can eat thicker foods that have more texture. This could include oatmeal that you prepare at home either on the stove or microwave or by mixing hot water and instant oatmeal.

Inman is also the founder of the website The Oatmeal. The deck consists of two types of cards: bears and babies. Bears are built; they come in the form of heads, torsos, arms and legs. The player can connect the cards where they fit to form an army of creatures in front of them. Babies are played immediately into the center of the table. They form a baby army, which must be stopped by the player’s bearlike creatures. War is initiated by provoking the babies with a provoke card.
The babies attack all of the players’ creatures at once.

Well, there was that one period of time back when we worked in a corporate cubicle farm when we were pulling consecutive all-nighters. A pack of instant oatmeal, rehydrated with the hot side of a Sparkletts water cooler and eaten with a pair of disposable chopsticks from some company-catered lunch three years before, was our dinner every night.
And sadly, breakfast the next morning. And lunch, too. In fact, it was probably that instant oatmeal series that slammed the door shut to oatmeal in our current life. But congealed. And at the same time, cardboard dust. You know what we mean. Coincidentally, February is the perfect month for this little Oatmeal Project of ours.

The Oatmeal is a webcomic launched by Matthew Inman in The comics touch on a variety of topics, including cats , technology, grammar, and food and are supplemented by blog posts about Inman’s life and other ventures. In , Inman discovered that users of the humor website FunnyJunk had submitted many of his comics to the site without attribution. After contacting FunnyJunk, the images were taken down, but on May 25th, , Inman found himself in the same predicament. That day, he compiled a list of other webcomics as well as newspaper comics which had been posted to FunnyJunk without any attribution to the authors, seeking help from his readers to correct the situation.
About a week later, Inman posted an update noting that the owner of FunnyJunk sent an email to all of its members shown below claiming that Inman wanted to shut down the site, encouraging the users to contact him about it. Many users did contact Inman and he posted a letter insulting the intelligence of the commenters. The administrator also deleted most of the offending content mentioned in Inman’s first post, however, only the comics that were properly attributed to the Oatmeal were removed.
Just over a year later, on June 11th, , Inman posted a letter he received from attorney Charles Carreon representing FunnyJunk threatening to sue him over wrongful accusation of willful copyright infringement.
